Night Oximetry:
Pulse-by-pulse, the night oximetry provides precise oximetry measurements during night even in the presence of motion, low perfusion or other challenging conditions.
Sleep Study:
The sleep study is used to detect the sleep apnea. There are two types of studies:
1- Polygraphy or PG is a simple test that uses screening devices (eg: Alice night-one from Respironics) or (Embletta from Natus). It can contain up to 16 channels. It detects hypopneas, apneas, thorax and abdomen movement, pulse and desaturation. It is done at home.
2- Polysomnography is a monitored test, done at a sleep center (eg: HDF and CMC) and is more sophisticated (more electrodes). It can contain up to 65 channels. It is monitored by a camera and is done at hospitals and now at home.
